Are you highly motivated and experienced in providing services to children and families who are in need of mental health support ?
Would you like to help strengthen our response in identifying the right service for these children and young people at the earliest opportunity? If so this is an exciting opportunity to support and enhance our local partnerships with schools, health, early years settings and voluntary and faith sectors. We are looking for someone to champion and develop the Mental Health Continuum of Need and act as a conduit between the front door and mental health services to ensure that all mental health services are engaged in safeguarding and early help processes
The role incorporates providing both advice and support for Integrated Front Door staff whilst also actively supporting education establishments by developing effective communication and resources to reinforce trauma and mentally healthy whole school systems. The post holder while also being involved in the Mental Health workstream to help review, shape and develop the range of support available for mental health and wellbeing, identifying gaps and training needs. The approach will promote the right help, right time, right service approach and aim to increase the incidence of appropriate referrals and provide wrap around support whilst CYP are on a waiting list for acute support.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent engagement skills to establish a sustainable network with the families and professionals they work with.
