Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer requires a Temp Group Tax Assistant Accountant to join their JHB branch, based in Woodmead. We are looking for a candidate who understands finance/ accounting systems, is familiar with cloud applications and can write instruction to a developer as well as extract reports from the system.

Duties

SAP implementation

  • Actively participate, as the Group Tax Prepare a requirements document for the SAP implementation, with the support of the GTM and the GTA, and ensure these requirements are incorporated in the SAP project plan/backward integrated into existing SAP S 4 HANA environments.
  • representative on all SAP implementations.

TRCS

  • Act as super user for TRCS.

Vertex

  • Act as super user for Vertex.
  • Prepare a requirements document for the Vertex implementation, with the support of the GTM and the GTA, and ensure these requirements are incorporated in the SAP project plan/backward integrated into existing SAP S 4 HANA environments.
  • Actively participate, as the Group Tax representative on all Vertex implementations.
  • Work with our advisors/consultants to ensure all changes that are required in Vertex are made, for all Group companies that have activated Vertex, with the approval of work being undertaken by the GTRM.

Requirements And Experience Required

  • B. Com Hons (Taxation) or B.Com with [URL Removed] Tax
  • Masters in Taxation or similar qualification an advantage
  • CA (SA) an advantage
  • 4 – 6yrs experience in tax
  • Experience in designing, implementing, configuring and working with financial and/or tax systems
  • Data modelling, analytics and visualisation experience
  • Knowledge of tax principles and transfer pricing principles
