Senior HR Officer Automotive ~ Manufacturing
Port Elizabeth – Eastern Cape – South Africa
We are pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Officer in the manufacturing industry.
You will be responsible for providing accurate, responsive, and efficient all-around HR administrative services, including recruitment, employee compensation and benefits, HR/payroll transactions, and the administration of training and organizational development initiatives.
Crucial to this role is your understanding of a matrixed reporting structure and prior experience in such an environment is essential. You will have the chance to contribute to the organisation’s growth and success while enhancing your professional skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification, along with an HR National Diploma or Higher Diploma/Degree, or any equivalent HR qualification.
Experience:
- Generalist with a min. of 8 years of experience in both HR and Training & Organizational Development.
- Experience working within the manufacturing and/or automotive industry will be a definite advantage.
Essential Knowledge & Required Skills:
- Understanding and working knowledge of labour legislation, particularly the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act, and B-BBEE Codes of Practice (Skills Development Element).
- Familiarity with HR practices, policies, systems, and processes is mandatory.
- Proficiency in SAGE VIP and/or SAP is essential.
- Advanced computer literacy in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A working knowledge of SAQA and NQF levels is also essential.
