A bit about the role: As a key player in our client’s company, you will work closely with the Procurement Lead to ensure an extraordinary 7-star customer service experience through efficient procurement management. Requirements Your daily adventures include:

• Unleashing your superpowers to assist the sales and projects teams in sourcing and ordering IT hardware and services
• Creating and maintaining ingenious systems to execute and track procurement activities, ensuring a seamless process
• Embarking on thrilling quests to find the best deals, conducting pricing and quality research that will make the company and clients jump for joy
• Collaborating with internal experts to identify the perfect specifications for procured hardware, leading to mind-blowing solutions
• Journeying through supplier lands to place orders in various countries where their clients reside
• Exploring realms of computer hardware, telephony and video conferencing hardware, networking and infrastructure hardware, telephony and connectivity services, SaaS solutions, and more
• Defying expectations and going above and beyond to meet internal and external needs
• Tracking, managing, and reporting on the progress of deliveries, ensuring a smooth voyage from start to finish
• Fearlessly chasing suppliers when deliveries encounter delays, ensuring prompt resolution
• Coordinating with couriers when their services are needed to deliver exceptional goods
• Crafting communication spells to provide enchanting status updates to their esteemed clients
• Collaborating with the company’s accounts team to ensure accurate and timely billing, leaving no stone unturned
• Maintaining an inventory that would impress even the most meticulous dragon, covering both staff and spare equipment
• Documenting every step of your epic adventures, recording items procured, vendors used, delivery dates, alternatives considered, and even the warrantees offered
• Expertly managing returns and exchanges of faulty or damaged items, ensuring clients are always equipped with the best
• Cultivating professional relationships with clients and vendors, fostering an atmosphere of trust and collaboration
• Shielding the procurement process from any attempts to manipulate it, reporting any suspicious activity encountered
• Approving and accepting gifts from suppliers, but only when sanctioned by a manager
• Assisting valued clients by providing exceptional support and straightforward quotations for hardware and software
• Offering your support to the account management team, providing a helping hand with general administrative tasks whenever required

What it takes to succeed:

• 5+ years’ experience in a technology organisation, such that IT hardware, software and service terminology is familiar
• Procurement diploma, certificate, or short courses
• Microsoft (or other) certifications are an advantage
• Customer-focused, with an analytical approach with good questioning & listening skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for an international audience
• A confident team player with a positive can-do attitude
• Fanatical attention to detail
• An ability to learn quickly and a willingness to study and obtain new certifications and skills.
