Purpose Statement

• To maximise the service delivery of all teams in Merchant Acquiring, ensuring a client focused, high performance environment is developed and sustained within the department.
• To minimise risk through the management of all tasks, service level agreements and quality of work.

Experience

Minimum:

• 3-5 Years’ experience in a banking or risk mitigating environment including:
• Managing performance, service delivery and quality of work
• Risk mitigation
• Management and mentoring of a team

Ideal

• 5 Years’ experience in Merchant Services Back office and in a leadership/management role

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or Risk and Compliance

Qualifications (Ideal Or Preferred)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Risk and Compliance

Minimum

• General management and business knowledge in retail or finance/banking industry
• Processes, procedures and regulations relating to acquiring, card and card associations
• Card and merchant related software
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Budgeting and resource planning
• People management and development
• HR principles and practices
• Budgeting and resource planning
