  • Qualifications:
  • Finance related qualification
  • Understanding of tax & other statutory requirements
  • Experience of working with payroll in other African countries – advantageous
  • Experience with Payscape – advantageous
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Understanding of Accounting principles – requirement

  • Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Payroll for up to 750 people (salaries)
  • Administer medical aid & other benefits & deductions
  • Ensure that overtime for applicable centers is paid and imported to the payroll system
  • Responsible for accuracy of payslips & any payroll related statutory requirements across the group
  • Provide finance with monthly payroll related reports and compile monthly payroll journal
  • Assist with implementation of new payroll system – Payspace
  • Ensure timely submissions of payroll statutory returns and payment thereof
  • Ensure Manager approvals of all benefits & reimbursements for employees
  • Data integrity – conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity
  • Calculate salary packages for prospective employees
