Position Reporting to: Plant Manager
Subordinates: 5 Employees
Responsibilities
Management of maintenance staff, procedures and projects, in order to ensure safe, timely and efficient operation of all plant machinery and equipment.
Ensure agreed KPI’s are met or exceeded
Ensuring that predictive, preventive, planned, and breakdown maintenance are appropriately scheduled and accomplished, and that emergency troubleshooting, and maintenance support are readily available as needed.
Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with the OHS Act, RC Requirements and other legal requirements and comply to the site Work Permit.
Management of maintenance contractors to ensure work is carried out as agreed, safely and within budget.
Participate in CAPEX projects and Project Management of the Projects.
Participate in the setting and achievement of departmental goal and targets.
Maintenance of all the departments activities and overtime in accordance with the maintenance budget
Adhere to all the above in accordance with the SHEQ management system requirements.
Adhere to other legal and lawful request made by the company.
Fulfil Core Responsibilities for RC requirements & pass RC Audits as per Policy
Ensure compliance with OSH requests Act for Contractors and Visitors.
Adherence to Permit to Work for all Contractors and Maintenance Personal.
Update and Maintain all Maintenance System Documents
Manage Maintenance inventory (Critical Spares, Other Parts) arrange for necessary orders as and when required.
Manage Maintenance staff in line with RC Requirements.
Ensure requirements and input related to IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001: 2015, ISO 45001:2018 and Responsible Care system relevant to this position are adhered to.
In-depth knowledge of engineering requirements of the chemical processes (a portfolio of evidence may be required as proof of competence)
Optimise resource utilisation on all maintenance activities
