Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of Exploration drilling services in the mining industry. A Junior Buyer is required to assist their procurement team at the Mokgalakwena operation.

The position requires an experienced Junior Buyer to manage the sourcing and purchasing products from vendors, suppliers, or manufacturers on behalf of the site.

Duties

Processing of stock requests from stores
Capturing of purchase requests on ERP system
Maintaining up to date information in ERP system (pricing, etc)
Liase with Stores, Senior buyer and Finance department on various requests
Ensure that all requests are dealt with timeously
General Office Administration Duties
Using Office and Accounting Software like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Focalpoint
Streamline processes and procedures for improving operational efficiency
Capturing of data on ERP system & related 3rd party feeding

Qualifications /Experience

3 years Junior buying/ buying administration with experience in engineering, mining or heavy machinery sectors
CIPS level 2-4, or Diploma in logistics & supply chain
Computer literate
Excel, Word & Outlook
Good communication skills
English
Good organisational and planning skills
Problem-Solving skills
Ability to work under pressure
Time management
Attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills – relationship management between stakeholders is a priority
Able to work pay weekend structure (on site – full time – Mon – Sat) – off five days at month end
Resides in the Mokopane / Mapela / host community area
