Job Description

Role purpose:
To define and execute the Digital strategy for the 8 Vodacom Group Markets inclusive of capabilities, technology, customer experience and operational models. Drive the adoption of Digital to become the preferred channel for Consumer and Enterprise customers for self-care, e-commerce, financial services, and loyalty.

Supporting the markets with standards and best practice to drive a consolidated mobile app experience with best-in-class user experience, as well as re-usability.

Drive the rollout and adoption of “TOBi”, our chat and voice platform across the 8 operating markets, ensuring the most impactful journeys are prioritized and the user experience is world class.

To support the markets to ensure that we have quality user journeys to drive the best customer experience.

Drive down operational costs by developing and executing on the Vodacom Digital strategy across the 8 operating markets.

Drive standardization across markets to foster re-usability and speed of deployment across markets.

To develop and execute big data use cases across markets driving best customer experience ambition.

Leverage and integrate digital to deliver NPS leadership across our operating markets.

To lead and develop his/her respective teams showcasing the Vodacom Spirit behaviours and ensuring that we have the right people, motivated and engaged to deliver our business goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop and agree overall Digital vision and strategy for Vodacom markets across Consumer, Enterprise, Fixed and Financial Services market segments:

Lead the strategic thinking and ongoing market approach in order to deliver the Digital Strategy.

Be the driver of the implementation of the Digital Strategy across the operating markets.

Champion of change, positioning digital way of working as role model for customer focus, brand experience, new company culture and organisational development.

Drive “One App” implementation across markets.

Improve experience and reduce costs through the deployment & enhancement of “TOBi”.

Improve CX by leveraging Digital, Big Data, and integrated customer journeys.

Drive NPS leadership across markets.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
A relevant three-year degree or equivalent qualification in Commerce is essential. Post graduate management qualification (i.e.; MBA) is desirable.
10+ years corporate management experience, of which, 5 years at a management level, in the Online and/or Self Service areas. 7+ years solid experience in various roles within the commercial operations functions. Must have a proven track record of building and/or transforming a corporate culture into a model organisation for customer focus and employee engagement.

Solid experience in Agile, transformation, Digital Evolution

Operational management of large scale platforms, including Digital applications, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data.

Taking existing business capability from a traditional business model and deliver into Digital

Re-engineering customer journeys to deliver great experiences.

Managing Strategic Projects across geographies.
Strong communicator, written and oral presentations and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.

Ability to communicate effectively, think strategically and implement tactically with proven business skills.

Comprehensive understanding of the ICT sector and in particular the Commercial and Technical interdependencies.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
Proven track record with regard to influencing the organisation culture.

Emotional commitment to winning.

Passionate about Digital technologies and adoption.

Capable of working in a complex organisation and able to build strong relationships and credibility with Board/ Executives both internally and externally.

Visionary on future market and technology trends.

Inspirational leadership skills being able to pull together a dedicated and highly motivated team

Strategically astute, with a proven track record in the delivery of challenging business projects.

Track record of digital disruption.
