Job Description

Estimator Distribution / Transport / Logistics / Supply Chain

Johannesburg North, Johannesburg – Gauteng – South Africa

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Estimator to join our client’s dynamic team in the Freight (Air, Sea, and Road) industry. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate costing and estimating services to clients. If you possess excellent numerical and analytical skills, strong industry knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure, we want to hear from you.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12)
Relevant tertiary qualifications would be advantageous.
At least 3 years of working experience within a similar role in the Freight (Air, Sea, and Road) industry.
Proficient in MS Office.
Familiarity with customs tariffs and port charges.
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with various Clients, Shipping Lines, Agents, Port Authorities, Customs, and Transporters.
Coordinate with internal departments (Operations, Commercial, and Customer Service) to ensure accurate costing and feedback.
Obtain the best rates through communication with Airlines, Shipping Agents, and Overseas Agents.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of all estimates.
Compile and distribute Cost Estimates for Air, Sea, Road, and Over Border Freight.
Negotiate favourable terms/pricing for maximum company profitability.
