You’ve gained solid experience doing credit analysis in the corporate sector but you have an interest in the renewable energy sector and all the unique factors that come with this expanding industry. Here’s the opportunity to learn the ropes of a whole new industry on a global scale

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll be responsible for new client proposal management, performing annual and management financial statement analysis, industry risk analyses and portfolio collections and monitoring. This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what you will get to take on in this role.

Where you’ll be doing it

You will be joining a small team of 3 with a colleague in Kenya and you’ll be reporting to the Head of Credit in Spain. Your future employer is a young, dynamic, and rapidly growing organisation in the solar industry that has grown from 5 to 35 employees in the last 5 years. They operate in key markets in Sub-Saharan Africa with more countries in the pipeline. Through close collaboration with their partners, they provide smart financing solutions for various renewable energy technologies to their commercial and industrial (C&I) clients. They currently have operations in Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, Uganda, and Ghana and are expanding in these countries and across the continent.

What you’ll need

A finance/accounting related degree is essential with at least 5 years experience as a Credit Analyst working in the corporate/SMME space. Experience gained in Sub-Saharan Africa is highly advantageous and you need to be ready and eager to start at the bottom and grab every opportunity to grow your career as the industry and company grows. You need to be mature and able to work independently without micromanagement.
