About Residential Care

Residential Care Workers create a safe, therapeutic, home-like, and caring environment for children and young people in care 24 hours a day, in one the Department’s 14 metropolitan and eight regional group homes.

Residential Care Workers work as part of a care team that assists children and young people to begin to heal from past harm. They support them in daily living and activities and encourage personal growth and the development of life skills. The role involves shift work, including staggered start times, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Your RoleAs an Administration Officer for the Residential Care directorate, you will provide essential administrative support to five regional Residential Care homes.

Your Duties Will Include

  • Providing recruitment support, managing rosters and timesheets and facilitating staff inductions.
  • Undertaking projects and providing executive support to the Director.
  • Facilitating the development and maintenance of quality information management and technology systems.
  • Providing and ensuring quality assurance through financial analysis.
